Red hot Corrigan puts on the Styal

CHILLI Dip Academy teaching professional Craig Corrigan continued on his red hot streak to win the Manchester Alliance fixture at Styal with a sizzling 66 which equated to 41 points.

The previous day he won the PGA in Lancashire Championship at Heysham with a superb 11-under-par two round total.

And it was form like that that left Swinton Park pro Dave Smith and Alliance captain Tim Maxwell, from Knutsford,  trailing three points behind him at Styal.

Corrigan’s former Haigh Hall colleague Alan Crompton won the pro-am section with Andy Kelly thanks to an impressive 46 points.

Am-am winners were father and son duo Neil Laurent (Dukinfield) and Robert Laurent (Crompton and Royton) after a card play-off on 41 points with Mark Window (Manchester) and Gary Boott (Denton) and home pair Harry Reid and Harry Lamb.
