The four-time Ladies European Tour winner and former Solheim Cup player previously worked at Douglas Valley Driving Range close to her Adlington home.

After linking up with her former colleague Peter Finch, she said: “The Preston set-up is perfect for me. The course and range are fantastic and I’m relishing the chance to teach more people.

“My worth is my reputation as a former player and I’ll have the opportunity to put different packages together.”

Additionally, Lora, 45, will continue to teach members at her home club Chorley, where she learned the game as a child, and the Lancashire women’s county squads.

Her golden years started in 1993 when, in seven seasons as a professional, she won the IBM Open, Ford Classic, European Masters and German Open on tour plus the Lalla Meryem Cup, twice, and Mauritius Open.
