Hamerton and Brunton share Alliance spoils

But the 25-year-old son of former tour winner Andrew, and playing in the sponsor Paul Dalby’s team, returned home to Lymm empty-handed!

Top of the shots were Pike Fold professional Grant Hamerton and Ringway’s David Brunton who both racked up 38 points to close the gap on Stockport assistant Danny Wardrop in the Order of Merit.

Alliance captain and Knutsford professional Tim Maxwell claimed the team prize after joining forces with host club player Eddie Sterling to post 45 points. Stamford pair Danny Fox and Steve Finnan chalked up their first victory with an am-am score of 37 points.
