Chorley captains rise to 21-hole challenge

CHORLEY Golf Club captains Colin Armstrong and Barbara Kent will play 21 courses on Monday in a charity challenge.

But before you deem their effort as mission impossible, they will only complete the first hole at each venue.

The intrepid duo will peg up at all the Bolton Golf Association and Preston and District League courses, finishing their round at their home club.

The venture will benefit Prostate Cancer UK and Compassionate Friends of Bereaved Parents and they are hoping members at the host clubs and the public pledge their support.

They will be asked to guess how long it will take to finish the marathon and there will be prizes up for grabs for the two closest answers.

You can contact Colin on 01257 277484 or Barbara on 01204 668468.

A similar challenge by Pleasington captain Susan Caton earlier this year raised more than £4,000 for the North West Air Ambulance.
