Lancs lads are champs again!

LANCASHIRE won the Four Counties Junior Tournament for the fourth time in five years with an impressive performance at Childwall.

They made their intentions clear from start when they prevailed by two points against Shropshire and Herefordshire who denied them the title last season.

Cheshire shared the spoils with them in the second round before the Red Rose boys overwhelmed Nottinghamshire 6-1 on the final day.

 DETAILS: Round 1 – Nottinghamshire 5 Cheshire 2; Lancashire 4½ Shropshire & Herefordshire 2½. Round 2: Shropshire & Herefordshire 3½ Nottinghamshire 3½; Lancashire 3½ Cheshire 3½. Round 3: Nottinghamshire 1 Lancashire 6; Cheshire 2½ Shropshire & Herefordshire 4½. Standings: 14pts Lancashire; 10.5 Shropshire & Herefordshire; 9.5 Nottinghamshire; 8 Cheshire.
