It’s Richard the first at Caldy

HILLSIDE’S Richard Blundell won the Caldy Quart to join Lancashire team-mate and England player Paul Kinnear, from Formby, at the top of the Galvin Green Northern Order of Merit after two events.

The plus two ranked player carded a brace of 70s featuring three birdies in each round.

Bramhall stalwart Gareth Bradley was runner-up two shots adrift with five players posting the same aggregate.
