Tom calls the shots at Hesketh

TOM Dolan claimed pole position in the Galvin Green Northern Order of Merit after three events when he won the Henriques Trophy at Hesketh.

The plus two ranked player from Heswall posted rounds of 74, which included a double bogey at the 17th followed by a 72, thanks to a haul of five birdies.

Dolan was a shot in front of Lancashire stalwart John Carroll, from Huyton & Prescot, round in 77 and a joint best-of-the-day 70, and also lying second to him in the rankings some 40 points adrift.
