They all won through a regional qualifier at Lancaster Golf Club and will play off for the title on August 8 during England Golf Week at Frilford Heath, Oxfordshire.

The Whitby team led the way with 87 points. The other qualifiers include Shipley, who won the championship when it was played for the first time last year. A new team of four is representing the club in this time.

Whitby: Janet McGeehin, Michael Coates, Siew Choon Tan and Robert Scott.

Marriott Worsley Park: Allan and Sue Rudman, Stephen Murray and Jean Kelly.

They will meet qualifiers from three other regional events at the national final. It will be a feature of Golf Week, staged by England Golf to create a national grand finale for a host of handicap and team championships.
