Lancashire share the spoils with Cheshire

LANCASHIRE kept alive their hopes of winning the Daily Telegraph Northern Counties League when they shared spoils with Cheshire at Clitheroe.

The Red Rose wilted in the foursomes, losing 4.5-1.5 but rallied in the singles with 2.5 points from the last three ties proving crucial in the final reckoning.

Lancashire travel to Lindrick to face Yorkshire in the final match on September 3.
